Alkali Marsh Butterweed
Clump of large green leaves with upright flower stems. Stems hollow. Leaves fleshy, oblong to nearly round, 2–8 in. long, entire or shallowly toothed. Sessile stem leaves smaller. Flower heads clustered at stem top, some with 5 short rays, others rayless; bracts of cup often have black tips. Grows in muddy places along Columbia River, standing salt water, swamps, into high elevations.
