Creeping Wood Sorrel
Prostrate creeping perennial. Plant maroon to green, with deep fleshy taproot, will resprout if broken in soil. Stems lie on soil and root at nodes. Leaves along stem on petioles, divided into 3 nearly round leaflets. Cluster of 2–7 flowers, deep yellow petals up to 1/4 in. A pernicious, abundant weed in lawns and gardens, naturalized at all elevations except alpine.
