Canby's Desert Parsley
Stout, erect. Stems hairless. Basal leaves shiny gray-green, pinnately divided into very short narrow segments. Flower stalk 2–5 in., light to dark red or brown. Flowers white with purple anthers, clustered in tight bunches to form large round umbel with bractlets as long as flowers. Grows in barren, rocky sagebrush-steppe at mid-elevations. See L. piperi and L. gormanii, both similar species.
