Ivesia baileyi var. beneolens

Low tufted green perennial. Stems growing outward or hanging downward. Basal leaves many, 2–6 in. long, bearing 2–14 pairs of leaflets, each somewhat separated from others; leaflets small, oval, deeply lobed. Stem leaves much smaller or absent. Inflorescence tightly clustered, more than 10 flowers atop stalks over twice the length of leaves. Petals white or pale yellow, 5 stamens, 6 or fewer pistils. Grows in vertical crevices in rimrock, volcanic rocks and cliffs, at mid- to high elevations in southeastern Oregon.
