Large Mountain Bittercress
Upright. Stem leaves from base to inflorescence, few basal. Leaves nearly round, 1–4 in., fleshy, with shallow rounded teeth. Lower leaves with short petioles. Inflorescence without bracts. Flower petals white, 1/4–1/2 in., egg-shaped or oval, narrowing to long and thin near base. Seedpods erect, straight, 3/4–1 1/2 in. long. Grows in streambanks, alpine meadows. Var. lyallii has smaller flowers, petals about 1/2 in. long, and grows throughout the range.
