Flower stems erect in large clumps, each crowded with many flowers. Leaves numerous, linear, 1–2 in. wide, shorter than flower stalks. Flower stalks stout, crowded at top with pale blue flowers. Flowers consist of 6 petals, each 1/2–1 in. long, bottom petal somewhat separated from others. Petals wither separately. Grows on steep moist hillsides and meadows near Snake River.
