Bellis perennis
Tuft with fibrous roots. Leaves in basal rosette, egg-shaped, with pointed tip, 2–4 in. long, with petioles and blade about equal length. Flower stalk leafless, to 8 in. long. Flower head single, white or slightly pink to purple, with numerous narrow ray flowers, many yellow disk flowers. This pretty little European weed has invaded lawns, meadows, roadsides, at low elevations.
