Brandegee's Onion
Erect stem, white flowers. Two leaves very narrow, slightly concave, longer than flower stem, staying green through flowering. Flower stem 1–4 in. tall, slender, slightly flattened, not winged. Few to many flowers in cluster above 2–3 egg-shaped bracts with pointed tips, 3–7 prominent veins. White flower petals with greenish to reddish midrib become papery with age, stamens shorter than petals, anthers oblong, yellowish. Grows in gravelly places in meadows, volcanic slopes into alpine areas.
